(TM is on these crazy fire breathing things that most Catholics are not familiar with. Not a regular Nass attender but IIR correctly there is *maybe* once a year that we get anything resembling fire and brimstone.We’re not fundamentalists although even with all the differences between us, Jesus loves the fundamentalists too. And the Mormons, and..you get the idea.
TM wants the Catholic Church to be the way that it was many many years ago.Before I was born.For some perspective you can talk to someone like my dad who grew up Catholic in the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. And(and I have talked about this before) that Vatican II was the best thing to happen to the Church. He may be in his 80’s but his mindset is very much modern.
By the time I was born Vatican II had been around for the better art of a decade ,It’s what I grew up with and know.And as someone who grew up Catholic(IOW *not* a convert) you can see how ths is an issue.That is putting it mildly. Yes, #notallconverts.
The problem as I see it and I have seen it said quite a few times is that when people are looking to convert to Catholicism find TM’s videos and think he is some sort of exper on Catholicism which he isn’t. Fortunately *some* of them see reason.The problem is when they follow him las if he is the ONLY expert on Catholicism,only go to Latin Mass..Pope Francis is wrong(for any number of reasons)..I could go on but I won’t. There is no nuance in *anything* TM says and I’ll leave it at that.)
