Sunday, 30 July 2023 08:33Found out about a husband who killed his family, as well as his mother in-law.I Come to find out that the man and his family(who lived in a small town in Utah) were members of the Mormon church .
He had been investigated multiple times and the police fully admit that they failed the family in every way. There were any numbers of warning signs.He tried to strangle one of his kids, FFS! Divorce is a HUGE no no in the Mormon church though there are some that do(which means that they are laws devout than some..they know they need get the fuck out of that situation.In the case of this family it was a longtime thing, not like Chad and Lori Daybell who went down the rabbit hole very slowly but surely. Lori Daybell was a member of the mainstream Mormon church until she crossed paths with Chad and that was the start of all the batshit crazy.
Mormons(devout ones specifically) are expected to stay in relationships no matter how bad things get. Look at the Laffertys. That was a similar situation to the Daybells and then they went batshit crazy and it led to several people being killed. There is no room for nuance in the Mormon church.Look at all of the hoops that they have to jump through to get temple reccomends(if you don’t know what that is, Google it.).
