*Does HAL enforce the dress code?
(It depends on who you ask.)

Most people get dressed up for dressy nights.
(Not to the tux and gown level though.)

*HALwas #7 on a list of cruise lines.This gets exactly the sort of reaction that you would think it would.

Some of the comments are spot on(and as an aide:some of the same comments are made elsewhere so it is not just this particular website.

There are better deals.
(I disagree.There are some GREAT deals if you know where to look.)

Then there were the swipes at cruise lines that were higher on the list than HAL was.

“Virgin is the “new”, “hip” cruise line.”
(God people get their noses out of joint over the stupidest shit.)

Don’t let others tell you different because they still want to cruise in the more formal 1990’s.
Two things:
1) It’s 2023.

2) The first HAL cruise my parents and I went on was in 2008 and it was still pretty formal..

Cruiselines have to be responsive to change.
(There are some cruiselines that do things old school but they are..unique in the cruise line industry.)

TL:DR:The HAL diehards have a hard time adjusting to change.
