[defining]
Sep. 18th, 2022 09:48 amDr. Phil had an episode on kids who identify as trans. All well and good. The problem being that parents don’t know their child is trans. They are the last to find out.
I can see both sides;the parents not knowing that their kids are trans. That’s a HUGE thing that parents SHOULD know about. However, there are some parents that would not accept that their child is trans. In most parts of the country a kid deciding to define their gender/pronouns is not a big issue. There are whole swaths of the country that *aren’t*, though.
One of the moms had a daughter(who identified as male for a time.)Eventually the daughter decided that she identified as female. I don’t doubt that the mom had something to do with that since she was a parent who was clearly not comfortable with their daughter being trans. The mom tried to make it sound like the teachers at her daughter’s school were pushing agendas on her daughter(and her classmates.) I got a “I’m as open minded as anyone..but when my kid decides that they are trans, that’s where I have problems with it”.
