Dec. 30th, 2021 07:40 amLast night the power company turned the power off to do maintenance.A couple of hours with the power off is not a big deal .I wasn’t entirely sure that they were going to do it because if there is bad weather(and there was somewhat) they can’t do it or they will reschedule it to another day.
My question is if the weather is bad(as it’s been for a bit here) how badly do they need to do maintenance?is it something that they could put off until the weather is somewhat better? If they need to do it, then great!4 or 5 hours without power isn’t a big deal(they mention checking the stuff in your fridge and freezer to make sure that it hasn’t gone off/defrosted.Eh, if you’re not opening your fridge a lot during the power outage that shouldn’t be an issue. We’ve had power outages that lasted a day and a half and the contents of the fridge were a write off(IIRC I had just gone to the store a day or so before so the worst possible timing.)
