[So you see my dilemma]
Nov. 16th, 2021 09:42 amI do love my Splenda. But according to my niece if you are going to use “fake” sugars it is one of the worst. After she told me this I cut down on my Splenda consumption. But I havre been actively looking for a natural sugar that would work for me. So let’s look at the possibilities:
Agave syrup:Great, in theory but the issue with it:It can jack your cholesterol up.So no.
Stevia:Now,I have tried Stevia since and it was better but I still get the aftertaste so I think it’s off the table.
Coconut sugar:along with Cane sugar the most possible possibility and it would go well, tastewise, with coffee because that is what I would be using it for.
Allulose: Has the least amount of side effects that I could tell(some natural sugars have ingredients that will give you stomach issues. More about that in a minute.)Allulose is not one of those.
Monkfruit:Just bought some the other day.Used it in my coffee when I was visiting my brother and sister-in-law and had no ill effects from it, which was good especially given that it has xylitol which, as I mentioned above can cause stomach issues(it’s what they use in sugar free candy and if you power eat sugar free candy you’ll be hating life.)
