*Koningsdam wandering around. Comment: HAL is out of money
(I don’t know why they would think that.)
*Having to ask for towel animals.Yes, really. And someone said that not having the towel animals was not a deal breaker.
*Couldn’t get anything(specifically drinks) yourself
(Well, that’s a safety thing, innit.)
Downgraded food in the Lido
(That sort of thing is SO subjective.)
*HAL brass:we don’t have water slides and never will
(Yet this one of the things that the Old Guard are the most afraid of.)
*Not a person under 18-no kids running around
(Ah yes..we haven’t had a comment like that in a while .Back when there were a lot more cruises going on you saw quite a bit more of it.)
*Gala nights:flip flops, jeans, etc.I am not the fashion police .
(Sure you’re not.)
Someone replied that they didn’t see anything of the kind(which I am glad for.)
*Did you know they had a Mr./ Mrs.(insert name of ship here)? I had heard tell of this. I found it interesting because Portly Princess was one. I also noticed that the people who have been Mr./Mrs. whatever ship tend to be the heavy hitters on the Cruise Critic HAL boards. Is that a coincidence ?For sure not.
There was a comment that HAL should start that up again. Yeah, let’s NOT.
*HAL gets dinged for inconsistency ..the stewards are not as happy as they usually are(oh and someone talked about “their” stewards . I hate that when people get friggin’ grabby like that.
Things mentioned:
Crappy Lido coffee
(I disagree .HAL’s coffee is like jet fuel.)
No tuxes on Gala Night.
(OK maybe that’s fudging things a bit but it qualifies. Sort of.)
Cutbacks with *amounts* of food.
(As with the coffee, this is very much subjective.)
Too many up charges in the MDR.
No room service on departure day.
(This isn’t a dealbreaker..there are work arounds for it.)
*I hope the powers that be are reading these posts.
(And rolling their eyes at some of the most ridiculous comments.I would hazard a bet that the usual suspects show up quite a bit.)
