Mar. 7th, 2021 08:48 amI am getting my first ‘Rona vaccine(Moderna) tomorrow.We have to go quite a distance(I was hoping to go to the fairgrounds which are VERY close by but beggars can’t be choosers.
We had a grand total of *3* people when my mom and I did Meals On Wheels the other day.That’s the least we’ve had in a LONG time.I mean, when we first started doing Meals On Wheels they didn’t give us a lot of people(to start us out easy, I’m guessing) but after a while they started giving us more and more people(the most we’ve ever had in one day?22.And yes, it took quite a while.Best guess?They are changing up routes again(getting more people) so they have to create more routes and it’s entirely possible that that’s what has happened. Some of our people got moved to this new route. Or maybe it’s a fluke and we’ll have the same amount of people the next time we do Meals On Wheels!
Ruby’s out on the Oceanside pier is closing. A shame, because I *did* like the walk out there and back(definitely need that walk back AFTER eating there).But apparently there were a lot of issues(not just that ‘Rona is messing with their buisness although that’s quite a bit of it.) On Next Door someone who worked there said that there were several holes in the floor where you could see the ocean.That is freaking yikes. And they got a C rating from the health department.Also yikes.Then there’s the aspect of..where does the sewage from the restaurant go?IDK what it is(salt air) but there are a lot of places that are close to the water that have some of the same issues(not holes in the floor but sewage, to the point where they had to do a complete redo of the pipes and the place was closed for quite a while whilst everything was sorted out.
Tonight is the big Harry and Meghan interview on CBS and I will definitely be watching.
