Wednesday, 17 February 2021 09:31Had to get some things sorted out this morning(and have my first cup of coffee) before I could sit down and write this.And now I’ve got what I needed to do done, so...
First off, it SNOWED in Athens! Apparently this is a very uncommon thing-I saw a picture of the Acropolis covered in snow-when I was there it was May and beautiful-and that view from the top of the Acropolis..if you only see one thing in Athens, that needs to be it!
There have been a lot of restaraunts that have closed since ‘Rona started..I noticed that one of the places I used to like to go to is now closed which is a shame but it’s hardly the only one(before that it was the Longboarder which always had a line out the door of a weekend.Then they moved and it was still pretty meh(there were a few things that they did well, to redeem themselves. It did not help that the lady who owned the place was a BITCH.She made me cry once.Yep. Reading the reviews on Yelp...I’m not the only one who had a bad experience with her!
On a related note.. there are places that have failed to stay open..over by the gas station there is a restaraunt which has changed hands a bunch of times-the last time I went there it was a coffee shop that had really good coffee(and bagels) and lots of comfy chairs. Decided I would not go back there ever again(the barista was having a bad day). Not long after it closed. Not at all surprised.
