And now it’s back. OK here we go.
The longer that all of this goes on the more that there is a possibility that the mergers are going to happen.To keep cruising going(such as it is).Either that or cruise lines go out of buisness and I can tell you for a fact that that is going to make a lot of people unhappy. They’re stuck in their own bubbles of liking certain cruise lines and they don’t want other cruise lines’ cooties touching HAL.
(Think I’m exaggerating? Go back and read some of my past Cruise Critic posts and you’ll see what I mean. Either that or they think that HAL ships are going to get all of the bells and whistles.They already have done that with the newer HAL ships with the big Jumbotron in the pool area that they show movies on. I remember all of the bitching when it was announced that they were doing this. To the old guard, that was a slippery slope to HAL having ships that have all of the bells and whistles on it.No. I do NOT think that this is the case.It NEVER was. HAL knows that to keep new cruisers cruising they had to have some newer ships to attract families(which they do-if they did not want kids on their ships they would not have Club HAL on all of their ships. I’m well aware of the attitude of some people which is that children should be seen and not heard. Occasionally there are flare-ups with people stating their opinion about kids on ships and there is one person who always mentions how her kids got crap from people who did not want kids on their cruise(it was a Panama Canal cruise).
There are a lot of factors there.I’ll just have to keep monitoring the situation and if there are mergers I am sure there will be drama because of it. Judging by posts(not necessarily about things like this, this is new..) There is always something to start drama about. I know what I’m talking about-I have been lurking (and posting sometimes) on the HAL boards for over 10 years.
