[A digression if you will]
Dec. 11th, 2020 09:02 amTurns out that Monsignor Asswipe has been on one of the newer ships several times.I guess it is a case of you go where you’re sent and he can’t really complain about being sent to be a chaplain on one of the newer ships. But he’s going to bitch and moan about what he does and doesn’t like about the newer ships But he’s gotten smacked down a bunch of times so now he doesn’t .He’s too afraid that he is going to be kicked off of the. Cruise Critic HAL boards.
The fact that he is “beloved” and “Popular” with the posters on the boards won’t mean shit for him.After all of the whinging that he has done it ain’t gonna mean SHIT for him. He’ll get kicked off of the boards and will not be allowed back.
Only recently have I seen any sort of attempt at moderation.One of the mods who looked the other way the most died a while back and since then I’ve noticed that things have gotten a lot better.The first, and then second time that I was posting there i..imma use the Wild West as an analogy here because,well, it fits.
There was quite a lot that was allowed back then(believe me,I know). As time has gone on the more obnoxious people have left(been banned?) or died.There were some pretty contentious threads(of course anything involving the dress code is going to be a hot button issue.I don’t even think that people have an issue with smoking or how many bottles of wine you can bring onboard with you(One of the biggest controversies I have ever seen. Moreso than any of the dress code threads. The powers that be had to do that because passengers were bringing industrial amounts of wine with them.Even on an extended cruise..why? Do you want people to think you’re an alcoholic? Granted, HAL’s wine list isn’t the best and that is something that they need to work on but seriously?Huge amounts of wine? Not a big wine person and not a wine snob *AT ALL*(if I’m having a glass of wine I mostly like white wines with the occasional foray into reds and I love rose. Other than that I am a beer and mixed drinks and beer gal.
