The cruising ban was lifted as of the 1st of this month. That does NOT, however mean that cruises are going to happen IMMEDIATELY. More like a lot of things are going to have to get sorted before it happens. What I’m seeing is that a lot of people are overly anxious to go on a cruise again and I don’t get it. Mind you I’m not going on a cruise probably ever again so i personally do not have a stake in this .

What I think it is is that quite a few people have attachments to certain crew members and they want to see them again..because they always give them everything that they want. Some people need to get a life.I guess some people need to have validation but it seems an odd way to get it.Plus, you can’t guarantee that your friends on the crew are going to be on the ship you go on,because there has been a lot of moving around of crew. I would even go so far as to say that some of the people who have to see “their” crew members “groupies”.It fits them perfectly.

We are ready to “savor the journey” again
(Well, that is not going to happen for a while yet.Surprised to see someone who likes the new motto because there was a lot of push back when they announced that new motto, as well as the new logo. Lord knows that there are a lot of people who don’t like anything new and constantly smack talk the new ships. For some reason there is this weird worry that HAL is going to try and start attracting families with mega ships the way that Royal Caribbean and a few other cruise lines have done. If you ask the average longtime HAL cruiser Royal and any other line that has a few extra bells and whistles is common and gaudy. To each their own of course but I think this is more about HAL trying to attract families than anything else.If you ask about taking a kid on a HAL cruise there are a few people who are only too happy to tell you their opinions about kids on HAL cruises. The times we’ve gone on cruises there have have been a fair amount of kids but that may have something to do with late winter/spring breaks. Also, when we went on our Alaskan cruise in 2012, there were a LOT of kids on the cruise including my nieces and nephews who would love to go on another cruise!)
