[True about not enough time in port(s)]
Sunday, 16 August 2020 08:56*Apparently when cruises restart you will only be allowed to take ship’s excursions. I am fine with this.Some people aren’t. I know how they feel.Sometimes the non-cruise line excursions are actually better-though I will say that we just barely got back to the ship in Naples with two of the people in our van freaking out because they thought we were gonna get left in Naples(spoiler alert:We weren’t.)
The non-ship’s excursion was through Costco-still not cheap but it was a LONG day and well worth it even if were worried about being left in Naples which, as I said did not happen and even if it did not the worst thing because Naples isn’t that far from Rome which is where we were disembarking the ship. So no harm no foul.
*On a related note: the ships don’t have enough time in port, apparently. *points at subject line* there are certain ports where the ships are there overnight-Barcelona is one and Athens is another(love Athens!)
*We’ve got another annoying “I miss the promenade deck” sh(r)ill. This time it’s the poster I mentioned the other day who said that he would not take the ‘Rona vaccine if it had aborted baby parts in it. Mind you this person has mentioned that he had several health issues so would do well to get the vaccine when it is available. TL:DR? Health is more important than your morals.
I wonder what he thought about his post with the aborted baby parts comments getting deleted. This is the sort of thing that other sh(r)ills complain that they have gotten warnings for posting. No. Why TF were you bringing that into a discussion where it had no place being.But it wouldn’t be the first or last time that someone has taken over a thread with their(unwanted to say nothing of offensive) opinions.
I think I may have seen him on a cruise ship..this is a long time ago .Not totally sure it was him, as he was young looking at the time and he has said that he is over 80 years old. Someone was bending his ear(if it was him)and I was going to ask him if he was a poster on Cruise Critic.
