[I’m not the only one who has questions]
Monday, 20 April 2020 09:00There’s this Taxicab Confessions segment that I’ve always wondered about. Mind you, there are some holes and I’d like to talk about them.
The man in the segment was homeless and had been for several years. The taxi driver wanted to know why. So here’s what the homeless man said:
He had been in the hospital, recovering from cancer. He didn’t have any family apparently, and was going to need to be taken care of when he got out of the hospital. He met a woman, went to live with her and they got married,
She came from money,..not sure if she was rejecting it or what.
After a while she got pregnant. When she was pregnant, about 7 months along she was bleeding.
(Here’s where I am going to have some commentary. If my wife had been having any sort of issues with her pregnancy I would have called work and said “I am SO sorry but my wife needs to go to the doctor/hospital and I need to be there with her”.)
However ,the husband did go to work. When he had a chance he called home and there was no response.
Long story short, he left work, went home, found out that his wife was at the hospital. When he got to the hospital he found out that his wife and baby had died and there was a ton of people there which turned out to be her family. He said that this was his first time meeting them
(This is where I call just a little bit of bullshit.Really? You never met your in laws and you’re only meeting them in those circumstances?)
He had a bunch of breakdowns and that is why he was homeless.Wondering if he just didn’t have any support from friends and family or what or if this was just so much for him that he said “Forget it”.One of the most stressful things you can have happen is the death of a spouse and there have been a few people very close to me that have lost a spouse. But they’re not homeless. There is some other aspect to it.
