(*sigh* some people aren’t happy unless they are shit talking other ships.)
Beat out the ugly Edge
(Just because it’s a different design, and not a HAL ship means they can be as nasty as they want.. Part of me would LOVE if Holland America did something really different with the design of the hull of one of their ships just to see the horrified reaction of the old guard. Technically that’s happened with the newer ships and with the redo of the Crow’s Nests on some of the ships.And the comment last week(I think) about how someone was ass hurt because they didn’t have a certain painter’s paintings on the Nieuw Statendam.My comment was “That is a deal breaker?” Then again if you’ve been following along for a while you know that a lot of things are deal breaker for the old guard.)
IMO the way the Crow’s Nests(except for the oldest ships which they haven’t changed-that’s not why I won’t cruise on them-more to do with potential issues with a/c and toilets than anything else) are definitely better for them being redone.It flows so much better.Also,I like the EXC area, where you can get information about the places that you’re going to.
At least when she backs in it doesn’t take half an hour to leave
(Thing is, HAL ships are big..not as big as some of the other ships in port but... HAL diehards have to realise that it’s not a personal thing, like HAL is getting dissed because of when their ships leave. Not really.Or they like to think so)
Someone asked about bringing a coffee pot onboard with them(for the record, it’s a no-no) but of course several people replied to the initial post and told them, in no uncertain terms, that it was a no-no.
This rule, is one amongst many that people feel they have to correct about.It’s like only ONE person needs to respond.The OP is not stupid.They may be new to HAL, IDK but the bitching at the OP?Totally unnecessary.
