[Storytime: I was a teenage wanna be goth]
I didn’t dress all in black-though I did wear it so much at one point people were calling me out on it.
Let’s just say that I was not the most popular person at both of the high schools that I went to. Clearly I was looking for a way to fit in. Here in San Diego we had a chain of stores that had goth-type clothes.I could never afford any of it-could not tell you how much window shopping I would do when I went there.
One of the things that they had was Doc Marten shoes and boots.Those were something I wanted more than anything. My parents didn’t want to pay over a hundred dollars and,thinking back on it now, absolutely they were right! The closest I got was a par of wanna be docs from Payless shoes.
