[Catholic obligation]
Today is Ash Wednesday and that means I give something up for 40 days-in my case I am giving up *two* things(potatoes AND chocolate.).
As a kid and as a young adult I always tried to give something up.One year I gave up soda and that was BRUTAL. I drank a lot more soda than I realised and yet by the time that Lent was over I didn’t want it .The first week though..yeah.
Believe it or not, chocolate is pretty easy for me to give up.Potatoes too.And it’s a big help to my waistline, too!
