My uncle--my dad’s brother-died. It was expected and yet..
Some stories :My uncle is more or less a year older than my dad(my super-Catholic grandmother took that whole “be fruitful and multiply “ thing very seriously .)
He was stepfather to two kids and had one with my aunt Sue-all of them boys. My cousin Hank just turned 40 yesterday.
Grandfather to 5 kids, the youngest of whom is 4. I was not quite 4 when my grandmother died.I have no real memories of her but everyone says I am like her in that I do not like lots of people in the kitchen when I am cooking.
My parents and I are going out to breakfast tomorrow.They wanted to be together ..I agree.It’s needed. That was what my day for me yesterday was about.
