[Thrown in at the deep end]
As a kid I took swimming lessons several times.The first was when I was fairly young The thing that I remember is that at one point my mom(and the other moms there-this was at a friend’s pool) would dunk us underwater.A little warning would have been nice!
Fast forwards to a few years later when we’re on a family vacation.The place we were staying had a pool and during that vacation my previous training kicked it and I knew how to swim!
My mom felt like I needed a refresher a few years later and I took private lessons at someone’s pool.At the time the pool seemed VERY deep but in point of fact it was probably 8 or 9 feet deep.Funny how perspective is!
