[The thought that counts]
I meant to mention this on the day of(and this is several days late) but there is a Duran Duran appreciation day.
Hell yeah!I am so down for this-also there is a crossover between Record Store Day and Duran Duran appreciation day(though they’re at different times of year).There are quite a lot of Duran Duran fans who like to buy Duran Duran’s music on vinyl.
Gosh,I wish I had taken better care of my Duran Duran vinyl back in the day.I played every record I had over and over again(which my family will attest to)
So I’ve said that Duran Duran was my first concert back in the day.The only reason I was allowed to go was because that week was Spring Break for me.Another thing:There was a second(free to get in)show the day after that.I didn’t know that until years later and if I had known I would have been at that show too!
Second, according to records, the band that opened for them was Trio(“da da da, I don’t love you you don’t love me” )but I seem to remember it being a local band who were deputised at the last minute.
