[Overrated is in the eye of the beholder]
These restaraunts are all overrated according to people in San Diego:
DZ Akin’s
Corvette Diner
Fillipi’s pizza
Saffron Thai(their food is GOOD.)
Tip Top Meats(comments about it being sub par..nah. I mean, they have a deal where you get a steak, all the trimmings, and a beer for an insanely cheap price.Hell yeah!)
El Indio(which I find hilarious since it’s right up there(IMO) as one of the best Mexican food places in San Diego.)
Point Loma Seafood(the problem with it, pre-remodel-and I went there a lot especially when we had family from out of town-and once they go there once they want to any chance they get.)
Fidel’s(Really?Their chicken burrito is 💯.)
I’ve got two overrated of my own: Carnitas Snack shack.Beloved of many on the San Diego Chowhound boards but some of their reviews on Yelp(for what it’s worth..).
Also, Milton’s Deli in Del Mar. Overpriced and the WORST service.
