Good lord.Kathy H. had a shit fit(which was not filmed;they were at a private club.) Usually I am like “pictures or video or it didn’t happen” but… Kathy’s attitude when she showed up at a get together she was acting like nothing happened.

That’s a classic psychopath move.

And to think that this started because Kathy was upset because someone was talking about another brand of tequila(did you know that Kathy has her own brand of tequila? I didn’t .) But everyone has to give Kathy due deference because of who she is.This is bullshit.

So this is a tag for both RHOBH and other Bravo shows. And we all know the Ho’wives are far from the only ..dramatic shows on the network.

Below Deck and Below Deck Down Under..I can see why the captains have a tricky job because they have to deal with interpersonal relationships .And leaving the ship looking a mess. The older I get the less I like clutter and the gallery and pantry were CLUTTERED. Fortunately most of those areas are not where passengers are going .But it doesn’t reflect well on the captain or the rest of the crew.

Last but not least, Real Girfriends in Paris. I can relate to the gal(Victoria?) who has to deal with a coworker who does nothing but goof off.Again, this behaviour reflects on Victoria’s job.Having him show up late, not pull his weight..and she has already gotten several verbal warnings. So she met with said coworker and wound up throwing a drink *and* french fries(!) on him. The preview for the next episode has her being threatened with being being fired.Which,OK, I’m not going to say that she was *right* for doing what she did but I’m wondering what the coworker went and told their boss after it happened.

[Bravo needs a redo.]

Bravo(and reality TV) has an issue.Well, several issues if we are being honest and Imma unpack them.

Physical/verbal abuse/racism :This is less the Ho’wves and more The Real World but it’s certainly true that there is a gang mentality on a lot of those shows which goes completely unchecked(Andy C***n might not be paying attention to what’s going on behind the scenes but people who are invested in the shows DO and there has been call(for a while) to get Andy the fuck out of there.

Yes, he plays favourites. Yes, he ignores issues that are allowed to keep going and affect the shows a lot. It’s started bleeding into other Bravo shows too. They deliberately hire people who they know will not get along(talking about the Below Deck franchise specifically right now). It took a LOT for certain things(specifically racism) to be addressed by the captain of the ship and also by Andy C***n.Andy has been called out by black women on his Housewives show(most famously and recently NeNe Leakes). Basically, you call him out on that shit and he’s gonna act like he doesn’t care. There have been multiple petitions trying to get him fired and have someone who is more..sympathetic . Seriously, how bad is it going to have to get before they fire him?

What the Housewives do when they aren’t on the show is really none of my business but it has come to light that a current Housewife was involved in human trafficking.She trafficked a couple of very well known people. I guess what I’m wondering is if whoever does the hiring does *ANY* sort of background checks on people they are potentially going to hire.

You put what you do out there so everyone knows about it, be prepared for the shit storm that is going to result. That’s not just what I mentioned, it’s racism, it’s any number of things.

I mean, they HAVE shitcanned cast members for various reasons(some of them petty some of them not) for less. But human trafficking?That’s pretty bad. Just from what I’ve been reading online, people are horrified by the human trafficking thing. And they want that person GONE.Not only that, make an EXAMPLE of them, too.

TL:DR? Not a good look, Andy C***n.

[Oh,the TL:DR of it all!]

Salt Lake City..I’m not sure where to start. Mary Cosby’s church has been boarded up and she is trying to sell it off.

She denies this of course.Just like she claims that she did not quit Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City.Well, she did NOT go to the reunion and that is almost always an immediate firing per the rules.It’s quite confusing because the more people speak up about what has been going on with her,the more she refutes it. Her family have been coming out of the woodwork .What they know is explosive!

Like she had a affair with a parishioner(who later appeared on the show to warn some of the other Howives about what she was doing.At first it kinda was blown off but now(as they’re getting towards the end of the season-of course-it’s all unravelling.)And here I thought that Salt Lake was going to be so calm and sedate without any swearing…yeah right!

Another revelation was that Mary and her husband(who is also her step-grandfather..yeah.) would “beat the gay” out of parishioners that came to them saying that they questioned their sexuality. Gee, could that be why(allegedly) Mary was disfellowshipped?

She and her husband/step grandfather ran that church for many years.The husband -grandfather was just as bad as she was, if not worse. Oh, and at the time Mary married him she was already married so she had to get a divorce to marry him.And she has a kid with him.So her son is..nah, I am not even going to try and figure that one out.Technically he’s not a blood relative but it’s still creepy.

This whole thing with Mary is starting to become a bigger deal that what Jen Shah did.Don’t get me wrong, I am NOT condoning what Jen Shah did.I have said that before.The allegations of Mary’s church being a cult and her asking her parishioners to basically give her all their money and calling them cheapskates when they didn’t. Doing so was a hardship for some parishioners and she’s out there calling them cheap?When she has a whole room just for her designer clothes and handbags and shoes?SMH. This is a constantly evolving story so I will update it when I know more

(I designated this as a Howives tag in general but it’s mostly been about Salt Lake.So far.Well, it is the one with the most drama right now.)

[Drama isn’t even the word ]

The Housewives world is getting interesting.Specifically Mary Cosby from Salt Lake.Apparently because of all the drama she has created this season she refused to show up to the reunion show which pretty much means that she is gonna get fired.Not sure when this became a rule..it’s not always a hard and fast rule but most of the people who do are never heard from again.Not sure who made that rule, either.Andy Cohen?But I guess he did that before he(allegedly) got demoted.

(Don’t even get me started on everyone giving him a pass for how he acted when he and Anderson Cooper did their New Year’s Eve show.I could have done that but I didn’t and the moment is past.And anyways, we’re talking about the Ho’wives, not the “head honcho” as it were.)

The reason that Mary didn’t show up is because she knew that she was going to get called out for being a racist (she has called people “Mexican Thugs”(yes, really,)and said that she liked a fellow cast member’s slanted eyes(said cast member is Vietnamese).More than once.And she thinks it is OK in BOTH cases.

Pretty bad.And I am not condoning the other drama that has been going on this season(Jen Shah specifically.) But Mary, in so many ways, is MUCH worse. She has people complaining that the church that she runs(with her husband/step grandfather(yes,really) is telling people to give the church all of their money.She calls out people who don’t give the church enough money.In church. Like, no wonder the church members are leaving in droves and speaking out.I would too. It’s a weird sort of culture in Utah because so many things are connected to churches(Mormons specifically but they’re not the only church ..there’s a sort of Bible Belt thing going there because they founded Utah so what they says goes..though it must be said when they had the Olympics there years ago they did have to adjust things somewhat.)

Her friends are OK with her saying such things-multiple times. Again it is the Utah culture.Up until about 40 plus years ago the Mormon church made it very difficult for African Americans to be members of their church. So the Mormons on the show have grown up being..more enlightened, but *not* if that makes sense? Makes me wonder what sort of things Mary grew up being taught.
