Jul. 27th, 2020 10:03 amBecause that is how insane it is on Cruise Critic right now.
*HAL needs to not only dump its old ships but its older, sicker clientele.
(And the shit show that followed...)
CCL will abandon high risk low reward passengers no matter how loyal
( *cough*Portly Princess*cough*
This is offensive to older people
(Actually, no it’s not.)
This has become the offensive thread
(See the comment before this one)
Elderly passengers who are struggling to admit their cruising days are over and don’t want to hear about it
(And are still booking cruises that may or may not happen...)
Portly Princess:What you said was offensive ,no “If” about it.
(Portly is a walking example of the clients that are high risk. She has had several health scares whilst she was cruising -found this out by googling her real name-I seriously doubt there is more than one person with her name cruising on Holland America.
The offensive people seem to be coming out of the woodwork lately.
(Not offensive.More like the voices of reason.)
*People on CC(Cruise Critic) are not representative of the cruising public
(No shit they’re not...)
There was a photoshopped picture of a mega ship from ANother cruise line with a HAL smoke stack on it. (Reaching, much? It was referred to as the “Behemoth class”. I hate that name calling.)
*A request to spam -snail mail and email-the new HAL CEO if they are not happy about what is going on with HAL.This is typical and makes them think that they were able to change things. Fight the power! as it were.
*HAL loyalists seem to think the small ships were wonderful and made lots of money.
(And it’s been proven that this is NOT the case and why those ships were sold as sloppy seconds and sometimes thirds to other cruise lines.)
Someone said the small ships were great.
(The small ships, even if they are worn and leaking, having issues with toilets, a/c, etc.) have their stans. I don’t get it myself.)
Veendam had issues when I sailed on her when she was 2 years old
(If I had to guess, this is why ships have to go into dry dock every 2 years or so. Wonder if that is going to get delayed because of everything that has been going on in the world.) This is true even of the newer ships like the Koningsdam.)
